Our Arabic Language for Adults - Unit One
The adopted method is the structural method, which is one of the most prominent methods in teaching languages today. Starting from communication, dialogue, and practice, the student acquires a structural mechanism. By following certain stages, which are presenting the basic structures, then memorizing them, then consolidating and establishing them in the way of structural exercises, and by reusing them in different situations and on a regular basis, the student reaches the point of using them automatically with the help of audio-visual means of all kinds.
The texts were presented in the form of a dialogue with important characteristics. The dialogue depicts a vivid picture and contains the basic structures that serve as a starting point for exercises to review and gradually enrich the linguistic repertoire.
These exercises contribute to training the student in writing, so they were included in gaps and in the form of exercises to be completed outside of class, so the student develops the skill of understanding and writing in addition to the skills of listening and speaking.
Then we followed each lesson with a brief analysis of the grammatical rules that were mentioned in the topic, whether grammatical or morphological, to accustom the student to understanding the foundations of the Arabic language and correct expression.
