At this level and the level that follows it, there are old and modern literary texts. We wanted the first texts to be very easy and sometimes conversational so that there would not be a complete break, taking into account the rule of natural progression in learning languages.

The starting point of this book is written texts by contemporary or ancient authors that give a clear idea of ​​Arab-Islamic civilization and its religious and human values, and evidence without delving into studying these issues so as to leave the student free to make judgments and continue the research if he wishes.

The method relies on understanding a written text and explaining it through exercises among students, guided by the teacher. The focus is on dialogue among students and raising issues that attract attention and serve as a starting point for discussion. This requires prior preparation on the part of the student. Therefore, we have appended questions to each text to facilitate comprehension and highlight any seemingly difficult structures, allowing students to pay attention and practice them. The text also serves as a starting point for exploring a topic that the student may have previously studied, albeit briefly. We have also included expression and writing exercises that align with the linguistic issues studied and the vocabulary used in the text. In this book, we have ensured a variety of texts in terms of time and place, while also striving to make them as clear and concise as possible, avoiding artistic or literary embellishments.

Grammatical and linguistic issues were addressed concisely and simply with easy exercises, and the book includes a set of rules for those who wish to delve deeper. The texts are linked to specific themes based on a defined principle: to provide a clear understanding of Arab-Islamic civilization, including cities and their Arab-Islamic character, cultural and social development, the spread of Islam, and Islamic moral values ​​(such as cooperation, love for others, honesty, love of God, and justice)
